AeroMexico prepares to restart Mexico-London Heathrow service

Aeromexico will restore his Mexico to London Heathrow route, the service restarting on the April 1, 2022.

The airline will operate a service, operating five times a week, resuming a service that originally started in 2012 (only to be suspended during the pandemic).

Like most of Aeromexico’s long-haul flights, the airline will use a Boeing 787 Dreamliner plane for this route.

Customers traveling from London to Mexico City can connect with more than 42 airline-operated destinations in the country.

Heathrow Chief Commercial Officer Ross Baker said:

“We are delighted to welcome Aeromexico back to Heathrow. so that our passengers can return to visit the fantastic destinations that Mexico has to offer. With trip easing of restrictions and resumption of the airline fI am weekly flights to Mexico City, passengers now have more choice and businesses can begin to develop stronger business ties with one of the largestt emerging markets world. Almost half of the UKTrade from Mexico totaling £1.5 billion travel at Heathrow in 2019, so the return of Aeromexico is a great platform to start rebuilding that success.

Rebuilding the European network

Aeromexico continues to rebuild its European connectivity, as the global air network attempts to recover. From its base in Mexico City, Aeromexico will serve the following cities

  • London–Heathrow
  • Madrid–Barajas
  • Amsterdam Schiphol
  • Paris-Charles de Gaulle

The airline has also added a route between Madrid for Guadalajara and Monterreyoffering 330 flights and more than 90,000 seats per month on its peak frequencies.

For the airline, this is another step forward as it continues to expand its network.
